Server/ClientcerticatescanbeinstalledasCerticatefromsigningrequestorasCerticateandprivatekey.SelectCerticate
andprivatekeyiftheprivatekeyistobeuploadasaseparateleorifthecerticateisinPKCS#12format.
TheAxisproductisshippedwithseveralpreinstalledCAcerticates.Ifrequired,additionalCAcerticatescanbeinstalled:
1.GotoSetup>SystemOptions>Security>Certicates.
2.ClickInstallcerticateanduploadthecerticate.
Date&Time
TheAxisproduct’sdateandtimesettingsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Date&Time.
CurrentServerTimedisplaysthecurrentdateandtime(24hclock).Thetimecanbedisplayedin12hclockinthetextoverlay(see
below).
Tochangethedateandtimesettings,selectthepreferredTimemodeunderNewServerTime:
•Synchronizewithcomputertime–Setsdateandtimeaccordingtothecomputer’sclock.Withthisoption,dateand
timearesetonceandwillnotbeupdatedautomatically.
•SynchronizewithNTPServer–ObtainsdateandtimefromanNTPserver.Withthisoption,dateandtimesettingsare
updatedcontinuously.ForinformationonNTPsettings,seeNTPCongurationonpage40.
IfusingahostnamefortheNTPserver,aDNSservermustbecongured.SeeDNSCongurationonpage40.
•Setmanually–Allowsyoutomanuallysetdateandtime.
IfusinganNTPserver,selectyourTimezonefromthedrop-downlist.Ifrequired,checkAutomaticallyadjustfordaylightsaving
timechanges.
TheDate&TimeFormatUsedinImagesisthedateandtimeformatdisplayedasatextoverlayinthevideostream.Usethe
predenedformatsorseeFileNaming&Date/TimeFormatsintheonlinehelp
forinformationonhowtocreatecustomdateand
timeformats.Toincludedateandtimeintheoverlaytext,gotoVideoandselectIncludedateandIncludetime.
Network
BasicTCP/IPSettings
TheAxisproductsupportsIPversion4andIPversion6.Bothversionscanbeenabledsimultaneously,andatleastoneversion
mustalwaysbeenabled.
IPv4AddressConguration
Bydefault,theAxisproductissettouseIPv4(IPversion4)andtoobtaintheIPaddressautomaticallyviaDHCP.TheIPv4settingsare
conguredunderSystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Basic.
DHCP(DynamicHostCongurationProtocol)allowsnetworkadministratorstocentrallymanageandautomatetheassignmentof
IPaddresses.DHCPshouldonlybeenabledifusingdynamicIPaddressnotication,oriftheDHCPcanupdateaDNSserver.Itis
thenpossibletoaccesstheAxisproductbyname(hostname).
IfDHCPisenabledandtheproductcannotbeaccessed,runAXISIPUtilitytosearchthenetworkforconnectedAxisproducts,orreset
theproducttothefactorydefaultsettings(seepage47)andthenperformtheinstallationagain.
TouseastaticIPaddress,checkUsethefollowingIPaddressandspecifytheIPaddress,subnetmaskanddefaultrouter.
