AssignIPAddressUsingARP/Ping

Theproduct'sIPaddresscanbeassignedusingARP/Ping.Thecommandmustbeissuedwithin2minutesofconnectingpower.

1.AcquireafreestaticIPaddressonthesamenetworksegmentasthecomputer.

2.Locatetheserialnumber(S/N)ontheproductlabel.

3.Openacommandpromptandenterthefollowingcommands:

AVHSusedinconjunctionwithanAVHSservice,provideseasyandsecureInternetaccesstoliveandrecordedvideoaccessiblefrom

anylocation.FormoreinformationandhelptondalocalAVHSServiceProvidergotowww.axis.com/hosting

TheAVHSsettingsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Network>TCPIP>Basic.ThepossibilitytoconnecttoanAVHSservice

isenabledbydefault.Todisable,cleartheEnableAVHSbox.

One-clickenabled-Presstheproduct’scontrolbutton(seeHardwareOverviewonpage5)toconnecttoanAVHSserviceoverthe

Internet.Onceregistered,AlwayswillbeenabledandtheAxisproductstaysconnectedtotheAVHSservice.Iftheproductisnot

registeredwithin24hoursfromwhenthebuttonispressed,theproductwilldisconnectfromtheAVHSservice.

Always-TheAxisproductwillconstantlyattempttoconnecttotheAVHSserviceovertheInternet.Onceregisteredtheproductwill

stayconnectedtotheservice.Thisoptioncanbeusedwhentheproductisalreadyinstalledanditisnotconvenienttousethe

one-clickinstallation.
