AXIS P5522–E PTZ Dome Network Camera

Events

Predeﬁned parameters, known as an Event or Ev en t T ype, can trigger actions in the Axis product. A common event type is an alarm

that causes the product to upload images to an Event Server.

Triggered events - are activated by a signal, for example motion detection.

Scheduled events - run at p reset times, in a repeating pattern on selected weekda ys.

Actions - refer to what h appens whe n an event occurs.

Triggered events can be activated by:

• Motion detection, see page 26

• A trigger from an uploaded application, see Applications, on page 23

• Pan Tilt Zoom — when the view stops at a preset position

• Full disk — w h en the SD card has less than 1 MB free memory le ft

• System events, for example on boot.

Event actions include:

• Uploading images to an event server or send images by email

• Savingthevideostreamtotheproduct’sSDcard

• Sending notiﬁcation messages and e mails

• Pan Tilt Zoom — go to a preset or run a guard tour

Event Servers

Event servers receive uploaded image ﬁles and

/or notiﬁcation messages. To set up event server connections in the Axis product, go

to Events > Event Servers and enter the r equired information for the server type.

Note

Email servers are conﬁgured under System Options > Network > SMTP (email) .

When the setup is complete, click Test to test the connection (the connection test takes approximately 10 seconds).
